  System Selection
The aim of the selection effort is to obtain a cost effective computer system that can meet strategic business objectives and the specific needs of end users. After working with management and key end users to define detailed information needs, G&A consultants will assist in the preparation of a request for proposal (RFP) which clearly states the organization's information needs. It also defines the preliminary terms and conditions for a future vendor/client relationship. Our comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare environment and vendor marketplace allows us to help our clients identify those vendors appropriate to meet their specific requirements. After a structured evaluation of all submitted proposals, we select finalists and check client references. In addition, G&A consultants participate in site visits to evaluate the proposed systems in actual operation. The final steps in the selection process are contract negotiations with the preferred vendor(s) and a recommendation of a specific system to senior management
